Control-M Agent 6.3.01.200 Windows cluster and CM's

Post by rumbler75 » 09 Apr 2008 3:32

Hello colleagues,

I've noticed that pre-requisites for the control-M/CM for BPI, for example requires the CTM Agent (6.3.01.) named "Default" installed in the windows box. However, you can't name the Agent installed in the cluster with that name. You have to install the local Agent, which can be named "Default". How can you run CM jobs in the cluster mode if Default Agent doesn't work in case of switch over?
Thanks and regards, VK

BMC support answers:

Currently the BPI CM installation does not support NON-default agent environment. In BPI 6.3.02 which will be released around April 2008 this functionality will be included. We recommend our customers to activate the BPI on a default agent environment only. Unfortunately we don't have a workaround that we can recommend to use in production.
Please let me know if you can adjust to these limitations until 6.3.02 is out.
