Multiple Data centers submitting jobs to same agent instance

Hi- would like to clarify if single instance of control-m agent V7 in UNIX can be used to communicate with two different control-m servers same time and submit jobs.
Does adding my second Control-M server in authorized list of agent is correct and supported approach or installing a second instance is recommended?
Per my understnading authorized server(s) are used only when primary control-m servers is unavailable and for my scenario(I.e submitting jobs from two control-m we servers to same host) would require two Instances of agent installations.
Please clarify.
