Control-M with SSiS Package

Post by vivo95 » 01 Sep 2011 4:54

Hello,

I'm new to the foum but is already somewhat familiar with the tool above Control-M system running on UNIX and SAP.

We have a new application on Windows 2008 running on the SAPBPC software and a database Microsoft SQL Server.

Data integration is done through SSIS packages.

It seems that we may, with Controlm, schedule these packages.

Do you know the mechanics?
Is there a documentation?

Should an agent "SSIS" on the Windows server to interface with the server ControlM as a SAP module to interface SAP with ControlM?

Thanks

You can use Control-M's CM for Databases to schedule SSIS packages.

You only have to install the CM on an agent that can connect to the SQL Server (or on the agent where the SQL server resides), ensure that the SQL Integration Service is running on the server(s) involved, and attribute the required Windows and SQL permissions to the configured user.

This is described on the Control-M for Databases Admin Guide.

I have used PowerShell remoting + dtexec.exe to invoke SSIS packages and return an exit code to Control-M jobs.
