False Windows Security Alerts corrupted my anti-virus and firewall protection. Any help is appreciated? I looked up how to remove the virus, and was successful. The trouble is, while on my computer, the virus corrupted my good files. That means when I removed the threat, all file associations with the real protection were lost in addition. I tried re-downloading the old files, but they are still unable to open. Is there any way to restore the file associations?
