Agent installed on one server of load balcning server..not a

Post by k2p6v5s » 10 Jun 2011 7:28

Hello All,

I am installed agent on Finacle (AIX) server(load balancing cluster)
NOTE: agent installed on only one server in load balance.

agent installed in one of the server in load balancing server farm.
i used the same host name as node id in control-m scheduling.

When i try to trigger a job using the Control-m, it is showing successful but
not able to check the sysout(request rejected bu data center CTM server
name). But job log is showing that jobs ended OK. Nothing happened in agent

all commands and scripts are executing When manually login to that one of load
balancing server where agent installed.

Please suggest me how to solve this issue.

I am losing some hair over on this.

Any help appreciated.

paste the sysout here,

it could be permission issue, is the sysout directory in local the to system or in NFS,

Hi All,

Load balancing of serves can be handled using 2 methods.1)using load balancing software 2) using load balancing hard ware
Now in my case , we are using the load balancing hard ware .
Then so we have 2 node load balancing AIX server.Control-m installation in UNIX we have to have one dedicated user.
So install all things using that user created for the control-m.
note : don't use the same user for job scheduling also.if you want to use ,path variables and lib paths of control-m should not be disturb(path or lib paths can be appended but not changed) control-m variables. So control-m cleans up the profile of the user used to installed the agent(where binary files resides in home folder).

Coming to control-m agent in load balance installation, agents need to be installed separately in both servers separately. Then create a node group in control-m with both nodes .physical host names should be used as node names .u can use the node group name created in control-m,so that control-m can handle the load balancing (available only with 7).

let me know if any more information required.
