job sysout is being deleted as soon job ends successfully

Post by sharas » 16 Nov 2010 9:18

Hi,

I am facing a strange behaviour of an agent that the sysout is being deleted as soon as the job ends. Below is the log of the job which says job log is deleted. What could be the reason for it ?

16/11/10 08:13:39 TR5120 JOB STATE CHANGED TO Executing
16/11/10 08:13:44 TR5100 ENDED AT 20101116081344. OSCOMPSTAT 0. RUNCNT 2
16/11/10 08:13:44 TR5133 ENDED OK
16/11/10 08:13:44 TR5120 JOB STATE CHANGED TO Analyzed
16/11/10 08:13:44 LG0017 JOB LOG DELETED
16/11/10 08:13:44 SL5214 QUANTITATIVE RESOURCES RELEASED
16/11/10 08:13:44 SL5120 JOB STATE CHANGED TO Post processed

Thanks,
Sharas

Hi Sharas,

Check the advance parameters in agent configuration.... are these properly set to save the Control-M log on agent.

Hi Rahul,

I think below is the parameter that refers the number of days to keep the sysouts which is set to 1 on this agent .

1) Days To Retain Log Files. . . . . : [1]

I do not see any reason for it to delete the sysouts immediatly after finishing.

Any ideas ?

Thanks,
Sharas

Hi,

Check in the PostProc tab parameter the definition for Sysout Handling, perhaps you have set to Delete
Best regards

Check the following settings on the Control-M Server
ctm_menu >
6 - Parameter Customization
3 - System Parameters and Shout Destination Tables
2) System Parameters
Next Page
6) Maximum Days Retained by CONTROL-M Log :5
7) Maximum Days to Retain Sysout Files :5

sysout deleted

Anything to do with parameter settings will only affect the sysout on the next new day. So you can ignore that.
You say that there is no sysout handling in Postproc. How about the steps panel. Is there any DO statement to delete sysout there?
