What is your agent version?

And do you run it locally or under a domain account?

Hi,

Thanks for you reply. The version is 6.3.01 . It was fixed after installing fix pack 4 .

agent is installed with local account and this is our first agent on 2008 server.

We encountered another difference with this agent on windows 2008 .

We always set configuration to " log on as a user " "Y" .

And leave the services to local system .

But with this configuration jobs are not being submitted , they fail with below error . where as all agents on other windows OS are able to submit jobs with this configuration. What could be the problem ?

07/10/10 15:35:26 TR5080 FAILED TO SUBMIT JOB LCTMAGNT ctmag3. Message from Agent follows
07/10/10 15:35:26 TR5167 The CONTROL-M/Agent services should run under the 'This Account' Log On option. Currently it is 'Local System Account'.
07/10/10 15:35:26 TR5134 ENDED NOTOK

Thanks in advance.
Sharas.

If you put " log on as a user " "Y" you have to configure the service with that user and don't forget the section on Local Security Policies to change the ones where the service account needs to be added.

As sharas says, in the old version of windows it did run when the services were under "Local System" you just had to make sure that user/pw was stored locally with ctmpwd.

Anybody knows if this is a bug on Win2008 64bit, or what is the reason behind such a fundamental change of behaviour ?
