Viewing Sysout from Remote/Agentless Agents on the EM

Post by markf » 30 Oct 2009 12:48

Hi,
We are running Control-M Server 6.3.1 (with all latest patches) on HP-UX with Agents on Unix and Windows.

I have just converted an existing Windows Agent to a remote agent (i.e. Agentless). I followed the standard install and it looks like it runs stuff ok but I cannot view the Job Sysout on the Control-M Server, I get this output -

This is a placeholder sysout for job: <04xuq> <00001>
The orginal sysout may be available at:
<E> on host: <wbnas32>

Remote Host connection details
==============================
CONTROL-M/Agent: VMWBNAS37
Protocol: WMI
Sysout Directory: "E:\Control_M\ctm_sysout"

If I go onto the Agentless server (wbnas32) I can see the output in the E:\Control_M\ctm_sysout directory and that directory is shared (as the manual says it must be). But is there any way to view this back on the Enterprise Manager? And does this affect the On/Do statements?

Thanks,
Mark.

guys

Have you shared the output directory on the Windows machine with a share name of SYSOUT (all in uppercase) ?

Yes Graham I did..

I had a shared folder named "C:\SYSOUT" and I was still having that error.

Ended up installing SSH for Windows

This seems related to W2008 R2. W2K3 works fine.
Did anyone find the problem already ?
