Post by sharonc » 02 May 2013 1:00

Hi,

I noticed this message in our Control-M server log, but am not sure what it means... does anyone have any info regarding this message and what it means?
We're running Control-M ver 6.3.01 on Solaris server.
Thanks.

Hi

Which type of Control-m agent ?
Version, FP, CM .etc....

NS timedout will appear if you are not able to communicate correctly in the two ways between server and agent.

Verify hostname resolution between them.

Availability detection messages in control-m server log

This is the agent on the Control-M server itself. So, the agent is also v 6.3.01 with fixpack4 and it has AFT CM installed.

The jobs are working and connectivity is okay. Running ag_diag_comm shows everything is connected and available...

That's why i'm not sure why this NS timedout messages keep appearing in the log every 4 minutes...
