Control-m v8

Post by EricJ » 22 Feb 2013 7:56

Has anyone upgraded to V8. If so, we are having issues with our Control-m maint jobs failing. The error is intermittent. Error fails with ‘empty sysout;’ error. When the job is re-run the job it executes fine.
On the rerun of the job every time a core file is generated.

Configuration
OS= Linux 2012 x86_64 x86_64X86_64 GN/Linux
DB=Oracle 11.2

Thanks Eric

too much 'new'

Control-M v8.0 in too much 'new'. I recommend to you that let 'other people' to test this version and go to production environment only after 6 months or at least some fixpack are deployed by BMC. Frequently, this 'New' versión come with some bugs.

You may want to go with one of the supported variants of Linux.

I recently upgraded our Dev environment to v8 and have experienced some bugs that I am working w/ BMC to address. I have not yet encountered the specific issue you have mentioned but I would advise contacting BMC support and seeing if they can assist you.

FP1 is scheduled to come out end of June, beginning of July 2013 and they may already have your issue in the package.

the whole point of assigning Global variables server-wide means that I can define variables at the global level which may then be used by every job any yet have unique Buy lineage2 adena values because of the %%@. In this case %%\eMailMsgXX is going to be used in a DOMAIL to show the jobname. But rather than putting Jobname
