Does anyone use VISUAL|job for Control-M? Is it better then Control-M/Forecast? Is it similar or different to Batch Impact Manager?

Hi,

Here is some differences between VisualJob, Forecast and BIM.

Visualob vs Forecast
They can do the same, but visualjob add some other function.
- You can have a GANTT view
- You can simulate futur plan, but you will be able to see what jobs will not be submitted.
- You could see all condition link between your jobs, including DO Condition.
- You could export graph and list in csv or picture file.
- Visulajob is principaly a tool to analyse and simulate your plan.

BIM.
It could be interesting if you want to be able to supervise your treatments.
It's like a business monitoring, and could give you a real time status.
Do use BIM you need to have a macro view of your production.

Hi,
Actually, there are no big differences.
You have GANTT view in Forecast too
You can simulate your day and see what jobs will not be submitted.

Same with all other above differences (I'm not sure about DO Condition).

Stefan

PS I compared with Forecast 6.3 :)

What about pricing differences? I heard Visual is cheaper on a per task license basis then Forecast 6.3.
