How do I schedule for the first business day of the month?

Post by Trainfra » 30 Jan 2012 6:40

I'm using Control-M scheduling and will appreciate anyone's help here. I put 01 in DAYS, and 1,2,3,4,5 in WDAYS to have a job run only on the first weekday or business day (m-f) of the month. However, since DAYS is 01, it skips the months that doesn't have the first day landing on a weekday or business day (m-f).

Is there anyway I could schedule the job to run every month on the first business day without having to use DCAL or WCAL?

If not, can anyone explain how to use these calendars? I've been doing plenty of research, and haven't found an answer to this problem.

THX

Create a calendar with all your business days selected and called it BWD for example.

In the scheduling tab in the job definition put your BWD calendar in the month days calendar field, and enter D1 for the days of the month. This will give you exactly what you require.
