Long running jobs

Post by nach123 » 23 Aug 2012 11:02

HI Friends

I have been having a issue with long running jobs.My job never gets updated by the agent as completed even it has ended.I need to manually check the syslog.Any parameter I need to change or add?I am using control-m version 7 on RHEL.This applies to only jobs that run for more than 4hrs.

Thanks

Hi

What's the agent os, version, and patch level ?
Same about your control-m server.

Is there a firewall between control-m server and agent activated ?

Hi,

First check, if there is a commn issue with control-m server by running a 'hostname' command to verify basic funtionality. If it works then it is an issue with the particular job.

What kind of script/command are you trying to run using Control-M, Does it return any error code to tracker process of Control-m agent. I have seen some *.exe applications never ends in control-m eventhough execution stops.
