Hi,
Does any one know if there is a tool to convert a cron job into Control-M?
cron job to Control-M
If you're running CONTROL-M EM 6.4.01, then take the crontab from the unix machine and place it on your desktop. You can then open the crontab in CONTROL-M Desktop, make your changes and load to EM & CTM Server.
If you're not at EM 6.4.01, then contact your BMC CONTROL-M techncial person or BMC support, and they can get hold of the conversion tool for cron.

Issue "crontab -l > this_hostname_crontab.crontab" where the "this_hostname" is replaced by the host name to produce a file that is easy to keep track of, however the entire "this_hostname.crontab" is just a name for a file and can be anyhting you wish.
Once you have the file(s) ftp them or place on a shared file system that is accessible to the machin on which you are running CONTROL-M/Desktop.
