Exclude specific days in calendar in V7

Hi,

I need to set a calendar that runs weekdays without Easter Friday (changes every year) and each 26th of december.

I've already set a cal that does the opposite (runs easter friday and the 26th of Dec), and I believed there was an option to do a reverse calendar, but it's on only in V8..

Can somebody help?

Thank You

Hi

Using RuleBased Calendars is possible.
In V7 too, depending on FixPack installed.

hello fyot.

yes I already use rule-based calendar but that was not my question.
more about reverse calendar or how to create a cal that runs every day except 1 floating day (either in march or april) + dec 26th

Hi

Using Rulesbased calendars to exclude days.
Example :

Include Calendars containing all working days, named WD
and another one named EXCLUDED added in your job scheduling as Exclude calendar.

You just need to change that floating day in this EXCLUDED calendar to apply what you need
whithout change in job scheduling defintion.

Now considering, it's possible to manage calendars using ctm utilities, that something possible
automatically.

Thanks for replying fyot.

The trick is I'm not allowed to create a specific calendar for that, or lets say they dont want one because they wont take the risk to miss a calendar update and also not to multiply the calendars at will.

I don't have a v7 Control-M here right now, but I'm pretty sure that you can also create the RBC on the Control-M Server and then use it on the field "Confirmation Calendar" of the SMART Folder's Scheduling tab..
