Post by Rashid » 26 Mar 2013 11:10

Hello All,

I am getting weird problems while running ctmdbcheck, ctmdbused

and its saying the log

********************************************************************

HResult 0x35, Level 16, State 1
Named Pipes Provider: Could not open a connection to SQL Server [53].
Sqlcmd: Error: Microsoft SQL Server Native Client 10.0 : A network-related or instance-specific error has occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. Server is not found or not accessible. Check if instance name is correct and if SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. For more information see SQL Server Books Online..
Sqlcmd: Error: Microsoft SQL Server Native Client 10.0 : Login timeout expired.

********************************************************************

However there is no problems connecting from Connecting from COntrol-M Server and infact the database is installed on the same server. i am able to execute on the queires and Control-M operations as normal.

also i am getting error in WD log as below

0319 02:51:20.927 Handling error: Low on database space
0319 04:51:20.357 Handling error: Low on database space
0319 06:51:20.084 Handling error: Low on database space
0319 08:51:20.700 Handling error: Low on database space

Appreciate if anyone can help me on this

HI

if you are using Control-M V7
Then u can check the DB space first , as per WD log it shows that it low in space

Go to CTM_MENU --> Option 2 --> Option 3 (Reports) --> Option 3 (Database Storage Report)

This will show the used percentage of DB, if required u can extend the sizie of your DB
