debutant control m

Bonjour,

Je connais bien quelques ordonnanceurs, mais pour un nouveau travail je vais utiliser Control M.
Quelqu'un peut-il me conseiller des sites ou doc pour me familiariser avec Control M, mais pour l'aspetc production plutot que developpement.

La documentation du produit est en ligne sur le site de BMC (www.bmc.com), dans les rubrique Support et Supported Product A-Z list.

Tu cherches le Control-M/Enterprise Manager, tu choisi une version et l? tu trouveras le "Control-M/EM User Guide" qui je pense est la doc (en anglais) dont tu as besoin.

1) In the official site you can find all the documentation (you can find it in the CDs of your software too), and for your control-m version; look for all the documentation Server-Agent, Enterprise Manager and all Control Modules of components (like forecast).

2) There is too the support site that can be very usefull:

Register yourself for free to have access to Data Base of the solutions and more.

3) Here you can have help, visit and read the messages: i hope that this can help you like me to learn more about control-m.

no needs to learn the BMC product documentation, other than user guides to monitor applications under control-m.
but it is important to have a look to the control-m server admin guide (to understand "utilities" you can or have to use.
for the real monitoring of DATACENTERS, i think a production environment and experiences is the best.

You can ask for a course, there are many possibilities here in Italy:
- official bmc courses in BMC structure
- training on the job courses, done in customer structure an progected on yours exigences...

You can contact some bmc partner that can do courses, is late for program anything but somethimes...

You're absolutely right. It is important to always see how you can use the tool properly. Otherwise, you risk to screw up the thing quickly.
