With AFT and ftp protocol there is always a little confusion.
The controlM module for AFT is a FTP CLIENT.
To do a ftp transfer you need also a FTP SERVER.

On the FTP server you dont need to have the ctm agent installed.
On the client you have the CTM agent and the CM for aft.

In the transfer you have the remote host that is the FTP server that wait for connection on 21 port (for standard ftp); and local machine, were is installed the AFT and that dont use the port.

Is also possible to use a client to connect two differrent servers FTP (in this case the machines involved are tree).
