Post by malay » 28 Jun 2007 4:39

Once i have set the alert for the job ...and started it's execution i know that job will fail...in the mean time i hold the execution job and delete the Alert ..so i didn't receive alert through Control-M and job also failed...but still when i checked the status through sysout the job is still in execution mode ...can you please explain me why that happens ?

In advance Thanks

Malay,
If the job is running and you put it in hold, the job continue running on target machine, only the kill tries to stop the execution, if can...
So you still can see the sysout in running.
If the job is in old you can modify some definitions: only the ones that are not yet executed can updated: steps and postprocessing for example.
