How to monirot Control/M

Post by sogecapdy » 04 Dec 2013 9:16

Hello,
Is there a way to monitor CtrL/M EM and CTR/M Server ?

We juste want to be sure job starts normally during the night.
At one time our CTR/M server was blocked by just a database error. ( lack of space ...)

In the past we used Patrol and KM Control/M. I research a solution easier to install like :
select in oracle database or a file in proclog

Thanks for your advice.
regards.

Hi,

You can use ctmdbcheck utility to monitor the control-m server DB usage and it will trigger a shout to GAS on alert screen if DB size more than the specified limit

Syntax

ctmdbcheck 50

in this example , control-m will send an shout message if DB is 50% full of its capacity .
You can create an cyclic job to run every 2-4 hour to check the consistency of DB space status.

apart from this surely you can use other tool to monitor your native DB

Thanks,
Mani
