E-Mail instead of shout to alert window when job aborts

Post by SteveR » 11 Jan 2012 9:32

Hi there

Our quality assurance team is running different applications with Control-M. Now the question was raised, if there is a way to send all alerts due to job abortion of just one application to a shout destination different than ESC (alert window). The idea is that the alert of the aborted job is sent by mail to the tester instead of sending it to the alert window.

This should be changed for but one application. Default for all other alerts has to remain ESC.
As I'm not so keen about manually add "IF NOTOK DO MAIL" in about 200 jobs, I wonder if there is that possibilty.
Shout destination is already defined in Shout Destination Table and used in other cases.

We are running Control-M 6.4 on Solaris 10.

Thanks for any help or suggestion
Steve

Even if you are not fan of such solution, it's the easiest. You can set this up quite quickly with the mass update utility or by modifying exporting-> modifying -> importing the XML .
