Hi,
What is the difference between Retro/Maxwait option in Control-M.
Retro/MaxWait
Retro/MaxWait
The Retro parameter is used to control situations where the computer has not been working for a day or more (for example, due to a weekend, a holiday or a hardware failure). The Retro parameter indicates to the New Day procedure or User Daily if the job should be retroactively scheduled for days the computer (or CONTROL-M) was inactive.
Maxwait indicate as to how long do you want to keep the job in the AJF if it's still waiting to run

Retro : It always delas with presubmition. Eg: If the agent or remote host is not available on the day when the job should be submitted, the job will be submitted on the latest day when the agent comes active.
Maxwait: it deals with post submittion. Eg: If the job is not started on the Odate it wont be cleared in the next new day process, rather it will stay in the viewpoint for the number of day specified in Maxwait feild.
Correct me if my understanding is wrong.

If we changed the Maxwait field to 1 for already Ended OK Jobs(Green Color ; Post Processed State),will it work?
Retro/Maxwait
Thanks Hagar.
