Alerts filtering

Post by Diablau » 09 Jul 2010 9:45

Hi all!

We would like to know if it is possible to monitor only some kind of alerts (a kind of "alert severity filter"). I explain myself with an example:

If we receive an alert very urgent (red), send it to the monitoring. For any other kind of alert, don't send it (blue and yellow alerts).

Right now, every alerts but the blue are send to the monitoring. Is there anyway that we could do something to get over it?

----->We're talking about SNMP sending

Thanks a lot!

Hi,

If you search the word 'SNMP' in this forum you find some informations about this.

Example: https://www.scheduler-usage.com/forum/document/files ... _usage.pdf

Don't send all failure messages but send only the critical through Control-M's SNMP interface or filtered by script (based on severity) on the monitoring plateform.

We use this method with Patrol
