Job lost connection with Unix process - how to recover qr

We have a job showing executing but the unix process it ran was removed in error. We now have the job permanantly showing executing and can't kill it. It gives an error message process no longer exists for this orderno. Deleting gives an error message that it can't be deleted because of its current state. The main issue is recovering the quantititative resource that it has. so 1) how can we remove and how can we in this case generally recover back the qr. Is there a back end databse way to change the job state to failed for example. Or is there a utility way of recovering the qr. Can I delete the qr and reinstate it to recover the qr.
