Hi,
What is the use of Maximum reruns option under the Execution tab in the Job editing form? And what should be the maximum rerun?

99. The input mask in the Control-M editor is ##, so, you can't put a 100 or more.
This is for Ctm v6.3.01, i don't know if this was corrected in 6.4.

MAXIMUM RERUNS
The value of maximum reruns has two meanings:
(1) If the job is cyclic, it determines the total number of runs of the job (not total RERUNS). The highest value is blank, as this will not limit the number of runs of the job.
(2) If the job is rerun via a DO RERUN in the steps panel of the job, it determines the maximum number of reruns (not the total RUNS). If a job has a DO RERUN in the Steps panel, the ‘Maximum Reruns’ field must have a value, or the job will fail when a rerun is attempted.
This value doesn't affect the ability to do a manual rerun on a job, so it is really only relevant for cyclic jobs or those with a DO RERUN. The value depends on how many times you want to allow reruns.
The dual meaning of this is a bit confusing, but unfortunately we have to put up with it.
