FTP in control M

Hello,

Is ftp possible using control m EM? If yes, please let me know the steps. Just curious to try.

Hi Bullu,

FTP in Control-M is possible through Control Module for Advanced File Transfer (CM for AFT). It must to be installed on Agent you want to use.

Although the Advanced FTP is very useful you can do FTPs without it by using simple .bat files to run your FTP sessions. I have jobs that do this and simply enter possible errors on the 'steps' panel so that I can deal with all possible scenarios.

You also can do command line ftps just like you would do on a server in Unix or command mode in windows.
I usually do it with a script a just pass an argument that would go against a defintions file with all of the transfer info in it.
