[URGENT] Running jobs as a specific day

Post by Saint_ago » 18 Mar 2012 11:25

Hi everyone.

I have an urgent issue. My "New day" is set to run at 11am (now it's 7:20 am here), so i need a helping hand.

On weekends we have here specific production jobs that runs only on saturday, leaving the sunday for maintenance routines and small runs only. But today i received a demand to run again all saturday jobs, to repeat saturday's production day.

There are a lot of jobs (742 to be specific), and for now the only solution i've find is to hold all executed jobs, wait for New Day and start rerunning all jobs manually.

I'm wondering if there is another way to do that. Something like telling Control-M to order again all saturday's jobs, for example "today runs all 03/17 jobs instead of 03/18 ones", but in a safe way.

Even if the New Day runs Ok, and loads only the sunday's jobs, is there a way to repeat or to order another day's jobs?

Thanks in advance.

First delete the in and out conditions:
ctmcontb -DELETE "*" %%ODATE, or after the new day the date instead %%ODATE

Then start the 'scheduling table manager'
Select the jobs you want to run again,
Then select the day you want, eg saturday 17 mrt and click 'order'
