Has anyone ever successfully run ctmsweep utility?

My wish is so simple: give me an example.

The utility finds always 0 job to delete regardless of the date parameter.

Best regards,
Vince

Hi,

Here is an example :

intctm-ctrlm64 [2] ctmsweep -date 20100901
CTM6921 -> main_p_ctmsweep: Retrieving obsolete definitions from CONTROL-M/Server database using date criteria: 20100901
CTM6922 -> WriteReport: Found 1 table(s) that contain obsolete jobs
CTM6923 -> WriteReport: Generate report file /intctm/controlm_server640/sweep_obsolete.txt
CTM6925 -> WriteReport: delete job E-CZ 7612 Init_job CZ_batch01
CTM6926 -> DeleteObsoleteTableAndJobs: Start to delete obsolete definitions from CONTROL-M/Server database ...
CTM6915 -> DeleteObsoleteTableAndJobs: 1 obsolete job(s) from scheduling table E-CZ deleted successfully

intctm-ctrlm64 [3] cat /intctm/controlm_server640/sweep_obsolete.txt
  • #----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    # Obsolete tables/jobs [on 01/06/2011 11:43:55] for date: 20100901
    #----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    # Command....Table Name.......Job No......Mem Name.........Job Name
    #----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    delete job ......E-CZ ................ 7612 ....... Init_job ............ CZ_batch01
Regards

Hi Matom,

that was exactly what I tried - without succes. In our test environment there are jobs back to last Summer, but nothing was selected. In fact, I used the -test option to generate the listings only.

Anyway, it is valuable info that the utility works somewhere. I have to check the setup and the environment.

Thanks and best regards,
Vince
