Create Late Submission alert through Control-M Z/OS (MVS)

Hi,

How to Create a late submission alert message through Control-M z/os (MVS) which could deliver to the users mail box.

Hi,

You will need to install the IOAX034M sample exit. This will allow for U-M:xxx (where xxx is an entry in the MAILDEST table) to be used in the TO feild of the SHOUT WHEN. The shout will then be sent to the email address(es) that correspond to xxx in the maildest table.

Sorry, but it's not quite right. You only have to install the exit if your version of Control-M does not support the U-M:xxx already or you want the functionality in another product like Control-O. Control-D uses a different exit (CTDX017) for shout processing and so does Control-B (CTBX009).

Hey...here we use control-o too. So, pls tell me how can i update it through control-o for the mail alert.

Install the sample exit IOAX034M. This will allow you to use U-M:xxx in the TO field of a shout in Control-O and it will be sent to the recipient(s) in the MAILDEST table that corresponds to xxx. Unlike Control-M the U-M:xxx is only available after the exit is installed no matter what the version at the moment.
