Can a shout message execute a script?

Post by Deano » 09 Oct 2009 3:00

Hi All,

Our UAT environment is physically cut-off from Prod, to the point that there is no connection to the mail exchange server in UAT.

This means that we cannot receive shouts/mails in UAT.

So, I need to come up with a method of trapping alerts from some jobs in UAT and getting the message through to Prod.

Any ideas?

thanks again
Deano

Hi Deano,

Yes a shout message can execute a script if its set to the Type "P".

Thanks Jeljo. Funny how I have set-up lots of shout destinations, always using - mail, server.... I never looked at the options:).
