How to trigger a job through Control-Em

Post by phiren » 15 Jun 2007 11:12

On our server which has Control-M agent installed, what exactly is the command that we would have to run to trigger a Control-Em job?
Your help will be appreciated.

There are many manners to do this,
if you write what you want to do i can folalize better the question.

In general inside a script you can use Control-m utilities to start a controlm Job, existing (for example adding a condition) or not (order/force) in controlM/EM, or better in the AJF.

You can find all details in the "Server administration guide\utilities".

Perfect, only remember that ctmorder isnt the only manner to "trigger" jobs.
For example if the table already exists ?
Ordering another table is possible, the visualization and the control is more difficult (the flow became confusing); but more important: if the flow is blocked in one job finished not ok, what appens?

The job finished notpk still have the incondition, so if you do rerun it start immediatly; so if you order the same job the second time it starts immediatly !!

Be carefull with the automatic orders !
And consider still the use of ctmudly utility for example or others.
