Scheduling: 4th and 8th working day of month

Post by ayanendu_de » 08 Oct 2007 4:09

Hi,

How can I set the scheduling parameter of a job so that it runs every 4th and 8th working day of every month.

Specifying the 4th and 8th working days manually in a calender and use it in that particular job is to a desirable solution for me.

please help.

1. Define a regular calendar that specifies workdays.
2. In job definitin, specify the workdays calendar in month day calendar
3. In job definition, specify month day as "D4,D8" for the 4th and 8th working days

As long as the calendar has the workdays defined, your job should be ordered accordingly.

Hope this helps.

Add-on -

If want to confirm your jobs is scheduled in as schedule. Can use the command : ctmrpln, logon as controlm under the box.

That can show you the forecast of jobs running schedule.

On 6.3, there is a Forecast button on the Scheduling tab. Just click the button to see when the job will be ordered in the next twelve months. Many times better and more convenient than using ctmrpln.

(NOTE: This forecast is not the Forecast server addon.)

You do need to install Forecast to get the Forecast button. It is not a standard part of Control-M in any version.
