Currently, we are working in Control-M v6.3 (aix 5.3) in our server 'prodnorth'. We plan to create Control-M v7.0 in other server 'prodsouth (aix 7.1)'. In this moment, we have an agent in application server 'dorotea' (aix 5.3). We run jobs in this agent v6.3 without problems.
I need to guarantee that the instalation of Control-M v7.0 in server 'prodsouth' (aix 7.1) and the instalation of agent 7.0 in 'dorotea' (aix 5.3) will not to damage the agent v6.3 in 'dorotea' and boot Control-M server works well.
OUt installation Control-M v6.3 with AIX 5.3 use port number 13070 in server 'prodnorth'. Can I configure Control-M v7.0 with AIX 7.1 (in server 'prodsouth' using the same port number ? Exist a problem when install agents v6.3 and v7.0 in same server ?
Control-M v6.3 are named 'pentahoo' (in server prodnorth) and Control-M v7.0 will be named 'zeus' (in server prodsouth).
Control-M v6.3 and v7.0 at the same time.

You can have an Enterprise manager server version 7.0, that see all the servers the new with version 7.0 and the other with version 6.3.
The Enterprise manger must be "migrated" from actual version to the 7 version.
For two agents on the same machine with different versions: is possible, when you install the second you must choose another agent logical name and server-to-agent port number.
In this manner the server respond to two server with different versions.
But if you plan to upgrade the agent, that respond only to one server (the new one) you dont need to install a second agent. In the first step the agent can remain to the 6.3 version and respond to the new server version 7., and then can be upgraded to the new version mantaining all the configurations.

1 Agent - 2 server ctm v63 and ctm v7.0
Thanks mauriziog. another question about this :
I hace Control-M server v6.3 and Agent v6.3. I just Install Control-M server v7.0 without agents. I need that v7.0 server 'see' the agent v6.3, but the control-m server v6.3 must see it too at the same time . We are in migration table by table manually . Each table that have been migrated must be in control-M v7.0 using agent v6.3 and it's removed from table in control-m server v6.3. So, we need the agent v6.3 working with somre tables in v6.3 and other tables in v7.0. This is the only way that we can do that, there are too may tables using the agent v6.3. When finish the migration of all tables, we plan de unintall agent v6.3 and install agent v7.0 only.
What it's your recommendation ?

In your configuration of manual migration with two different servers, the better agent configuration is have two different agents one for each server.
In this manner you dont influence the old environment and in same time you have the new server v.7.0 with the agent version 7.0; with all the configurations and functionalities of the new version.
