Client show unavailble when we try using the 6.4 version

Client show unavailble when we try using the 6.4 version

We are upgrading to version 6.4 have another server with all the data on it. When I try to run a job on on ftp server the job fails and the nodes says unavailble. I can ping it and its availble and show availble but when I try just doing a ls on it it goes to unavailble. All of the other 7 cleint work just fine. So we jumped back to our old Control-M version. Anyone have any ideas on this one.

Hi,

Check Firewall settings between that host and your Control-m server.
Also check that communication protocol between Ctm6.4 and your agent is the same

We checked the firewall and all is good there.
Could there be a conflict with the old Server still having the client available on it while we are trying to talk to the new one?

Hi,

Yes it might be true. Even some configuration might be broken afterwards, if 2 Control-M servers will try to communicate with one agent.

When we cut back to the old one the client worked fine.
Next time I will try to disable the client from the old one before trying it on the new version.
