Another approach was a request being made to me, to run the same jobflow on the same host. Conventions within prerequisite conditions, quantitative and control resources are using the first qualifier of the hostname. We defined an alias (on UNIX) to the hostname, and installed a second Control-M age...

I recently discovered that I was able to use -001 in stead of ODAT on z/OS. This surely connects a batch flow to the previous day. Probably it is or might become available on the UNIX version as well. From the desktop help for an ODATE value: offset: For CONTROL-M for z/OS as from version 6.2.00 onl...

Joshua, Why don't you just define the z/OS calendars within Control-M, and then simply download them? I used SAS coding on z/OS to create a file which I downloaded to my PC in order to run the following command: defcal -u <EM> -p <EM> -s <GUI> -src newcal.xml /o The SAS coding looks like (NB I am on...

If schedule 2 is already been triggered by another dependency, and then schedule 1 comes 1? What I am trying to say, is that you need to know the sequence upfront. With Control-M you define these relations upfront. In this case within schedule 2 you might want to code al possible IN condition in an ...

Seems to me that you have a batchflow: Schedule 1 -> Schedule 2 But if schedule 1 (which is adhoc) is not ordered, does schedule 2 need to run? Normally schedule 1 should set an OUT condition sched1_OK, and schedule 2 needs this as an IN condition. If schedule 1 is NOT ordered that day, then you sho...

It possibly turns up after 15 minutes, because Control-M server is active with his tracker (AT) process which contact the Control-M agent on your machine. Control-M agent (linux/unix) when LDAP account as owner
Is anybody using LDAP for accounts being used as owners within schedules on LINUX. According to a case at BMC they mention: ============================================= CONTROL-M/Agent doesn't officialy support LDAP, though it should work if the machine is properly configured like the customer's ot...

ESSBASE

Currently the ESSBASE specialist act like that it is very difficult to start command for building ESSBASE cubes, but they are not cooperative in telling what the problem is (maybe it is something like SAP which has its own Control Module on top...

Csaliou, You mention: We are migrating CTM from MVS to Unix. That is the problem. Indeed in MVS return codes < 5 are OK, not in Unix ! If this means that there will be no more jobs running on MVS, then you do not need to consider the MVS "only" default (return codes until 4 are OK). But I don't thin...
