Hello, Your job should end ok and stop for Code 0, hence you do not have to mention any clause in Steps tab for that value, unless you have specified a different return code upon successful completion and if it is a One time run job. The commands would be different for a batch with all cyclic jobs a...

Firstly, I believe, you have not set or accidentally deleted the USER daily value when you Uploaded the table. Please have the value added. The USER DAILY Value is needed for it to load automatically. Secondly, you do not need to go through Resources to hold a job from not running for 2 days, you ca...

I am not sure if this is the only way, but this might work. Schedule a dummy job in between Job A and Job B, such that, When Job A completes fine, it triggers the DUMMY job, and since its a dummy it would end OK, in the steps tab of the DUMMY job mention, On Stmt* Code OK Do Rerun On Stmt * Code RUN...

Well, It's basically how many hours to NEWDAY from midnight. + or - midnight. So if your NEWDAY is at , say, 0600 AM, then it would be +0600, if its at 0700 AM , it would be +0700. That is what i believe it is, but I am not too sure... we use it the same way though. It's always better to get a secon...

I believe, when you 'write' the jobs, it saves the changes in ControlM desktop's database and so you can see the changes in ControlM desktop right after you have written it. However , for the changes to reflect in the ControlM EM , you have to Upload them from Scheduling table manager. This saves th...

Well, lets just put it this way. You are working in a firm comprising 5 people. The basic resource you would need to work in that firm is a computer. Imaginet there are only 4 computers and 5 people who need them. Each person will be told that you need atleast one computer to work. Now, who ever rea...

When you ORDER a job, the job will load in Control-M EM only if it was scheduled for the day, whereas if you FORCE a job, it will load no matter what the schedule is. EG: Job A scehduled every Monday If you are trying to ORDER the job on tuesday, it will not load. If you are trying to FORCE the job ...

Well, I am not sure why it does that, but i can tell you a way how you can avoid the other jobs being triggered. Instead of putting the condition in the OUT Condition of the Conditions tab, you can have it in the Steps tab as: On Stmt * Code COMPSTAT=0 Do Condition Name= "condition name" Date ODAT S...

Steps tab sequence?
Hi, I am using Controo M 6.4 and I have doubt on the sequence of commands followed in Steps tab. Does it follow the sequence in which it was mentioned or it takes all the command at once? For eg: On stmt * Code OK Do Rerun On stmt * Code NOTOK Do OK In the above scenario, I want the job to rerun onl...

ppraveen, I must let you in one thing.... A job posts the condition only if it has completed fine. No job posts condition if it is abended , unless it is specified in the steps tab. However, if your job posts the condition on abend, then the best option here would be to specify the condition in the ...

Hi all, I am using Contol M 6.4 version. My doubt here is , If I specify the below command in the Steps tab: On Stmt * Code NOTOK Do Rerun And I do not check the 'Cyclic' box in Execution tab, Will the job rerun if it has abended? Or do i need to have the 'cyclic' box ticked to rerun the job even if...
