Hello, We are on Control-M (v6.1) and Control-M/EM (v6.2). Due to password criteria changes in our company, our ctmagent password for the windows agent has to be updated. Its an active directory account, but I'm not sure what else it would affect if this password is changed. Does anyone have any inf...

Has anyone tried to us 'updatedef' to update muplitple jobs? I an update one job at a time, but I need to be able to make multiple updates (not mass update, as the time parameter is going to be different for each job). Here is my xml file. Thanks for that confirmation. I thought it was just me! The process gives me a heartattack every time I have to perform it. I haven't made it as far as the cryptocli command yet. I am refusing to change the password at this point. If I can't even get the admin agent to stop, I don't want to skip tha...

EMUSER Password Change (need guidance)

Hello, We are on EM 6.2. Every 3 months I have to reset the EMUSER password, and every 3 months something in the password reset process is 'different'. This time, when I log in to our EM server and the unix user...the stop_admin_agent comand prompts me for the DBO password but then indicates that th...

Watchdog Process Question

I'm running Control-M Server v6.1 and Control-M/EM v6.2. Is it possible to turn part of the Watchdog Facility off (for ctmdbspace) by commenting out that part of the config.dat file? #WD_CTMEXIT_2_INTERVAL 20 #WD_CTMEXIT_2_TIMEOUT 30 #WD_CTMEXIT_2_RUN_STATE y #WD_CTMEXIT_2_SUSPEND_STATE n #WD_CTMEXI...

Shout - Running the Filewatcher with default configuration!&

We received this shout today "Running the Filewatcher with default configuration!". It was only received once. How do I determine what the cause was...or since we only got it once...is there even a problem?

We are running v 6.1 for server and 6.2 for EM.

Control-M Server

Hi,

We have 2 servers Control-M/Server and Control-M/EM server. If the Control-M/Server is down...doesn't that mean that no jobs will submitted to start until after the server is restored?

One other thing to note is that the job statistic for the execution in question is strange... Sysout stats: 08:15 to 08:15 08:16 to 08:23 (this is the run in question) 08:23 to 08:24 Job Stat: 08:15 to 08:15 08:22 to 08:23 (why from 08:22 when the job started at 08:16) 08:23 to 08:24

We do have on conditions on this job, but we may not be dealing with the same issue. The job in question is cyclic (every 1 minute) and not every execution is delayed. Maybe once a day on average.

Was your job cyclic?

Job execution after newday

Our newday process runs from midnight and finishes around 0020. I have a couple of jobs that have a start time of 0002, but when the newday procedure is over...these jobs do not execute. To get them to run, I have to either hold and remove the start time or simply update it (even to just 0003)...the...
