The syntax of command is: cd /app/t1/ppt && ./batch/JOB01 No Pre-execution command is used. 2. If we define job as Script, th...

Re: Notifications when jobs starts to execute

Hi Yes you can, using PRECMD command. (%%PRECMD) You can execute a script sending an email before job execution. Hi Franck! Long time no see you. :) The problem was that %%PRECMD is not suported in Control-M for Oracle Retail Module. But, it seems my problem is solved. :) In Control-M 9.0.18.200 an...

Are you sure that the message is "low database space"? I saw a similar message "low disk space" on 6.3.01 CONTROL-M Server (Linux host) without any fixpack. BMC fixed it in later fixpacks. Maybe you can try the follwowing: 1. Open CONTROL-M Configuration Manager 2. Under "Database", use "Check space...

Agreed with Nicolas. Faced with that problem too, operator put jobs into scheduling groups, set job's MaxWait parameters to "1", but he didn't set Maxwait for scheduling groups. Maxwait field in scheduling groups overrides the job's maxwait, so all jobs, when ordered into AJF, suddenly get MaxWait "...

I don't know how you can do that dorectly from CONTROL-M (it is not possible, I think), but you can do that using reporting tools utilities together with CONTROL-M. For example, look for ChristianSteven Software and their tools for automate reports distributing. Their tools can do exactly what you w...

There are no study guides, only BMC's preparation exam available on BMC site.
Only reading the documentation and everyday experience is what counts.

emreportcli is also good tool.
You can use it in batch mode, create report about jobs status in PDF format and mail it to the user. All in CONTROL-M batch workflow. :)
