Hi,

Get the system command 'f controlm, net' issued every 30 minutes.

One way you can do it using a batch job using the utility IOAOPR.

Install the sample exit IOAX034M. This will allow you to use U-M:xxx in the TO field of a shout in Control-O and it will be sent to the recipient(s) in the MAILDEST table that corresponds to xxx. Unlike Control-M the U-M:xxx is only available after the exit is installed no matter what the version at...

Sorry, but it's not quite right. You only have to install the exit if your version of Control-M does not support the U-M:xxx already or you want the functionality in another product like Control-O. Control-D uses a different exit (CTDX017) for shout processing and so does Control-B (CTBX009).

Hi,

You will need to install the IOAX034M sample exit. This will allow for U-M:xxx (where xxx is an entry in the MAILDEST table) to be used in the TO feild of the SHOUT WHEN. The shout will then be sent to the email address(es) that correspond to xxx in the maildest table.

Hi, The setup for this kind of functionality would be simplified if you were to consider using a ssh client to invoke a script calling the appropriate utilities on your CTM/EM host from the z/OS data centres and vice versa. See: http://www-03.ibm.com/systems/z/os/zos/features/unix/port_tools.html an...
