Putting All Jobs on Hold

I created a job called ctmsuspend which has an owner of ctm621 (control-M server administrator) and executes a command ctmsuspend -s This will allow any executing jobs to complete but no further processing will be done by control-M The only way to resume batch is to manually log into the unix system...

BMC Costs

The maint costs for BMC can be by tier or number of jobs. There are different tiers: workgroup has 1 or 2 cpu's; Departmental has 3-8 cpus; enterprise has 9-100 cpus. They also said they can charge by job but we never investigated that. You should talk to your BMC rep to get specifics on costs.

The second schedule runs every day. The first schedule is on demand. If I order in the first schedule, I need to add it as an in-condition to the second schedule. Is there any way to add a conditions that says "if schedule 1 exists, follow it, else do nothing"...???

Schedule 1 is on demand. If schedule 1 is run, schedule 2 needs to follow it. Otherwise schedule 2 has other in-conditions that it follows.

OK. Schedule 2 runs every day, contains JOB2. Schedule 1 is on-demand. It contains one job that orders in 24 jobs in the steps tab. After the jobs are ordered in, I have to manually set the in-condition for JOB2 to follow schedule JOB1-ENDED-OK. I'd like to do this automatically, either with another...

I don't see how this would work. In TWS I would type

adddep j=jobname2;follows=jobname1

which is add dependency to jobname2 to follow jobname1

I need an OD job to add an in-condition to an existing job

We get requests for monthly billing jobs that are on-demand. I setup 1 job to force 24 jobs in, but then I manually set an in-condition for another job to follow these new jobs. Is there a command I can execute to do this, or something in steps that I'm missing (24 years as TWS scheduler, using cont...
