Re: Assign global variable from job Command: using ctmvar

In addition, the "abc123" is actually the result from piped grep and cut statements

Is it possible to assign autoedit variables from sysout?

Hello

Say I have a sysout that contains the line (amongst other things)
FILENUM=23

Is it possible to assign the number of files (23) to %%FileNum by reading the sysout somehow?

Thanks

How to pass Unix hostname to ctm variable

Hello

How do I pass the current hostname to a Control-M variable?

I have the hostname defined in nodes/node_groups so that it is transparent when we promote to SIT, UAT and PRD and so it's only hardcoded within configuration manager.

Thanks for your help.

Yes, I get locked "Blue" jobs as well.

I have learned how to clear them with DB intervention but I'm keen to see what's in SLN000000175228.

I don't have access to the KB as this is controlled by the vendor ;-(

Can you skicky me the details?

Thanks Kenton

Thanks heaps for that

Please excuse my newbieness  So, correct me if I'm wrong, what you're saying is that I add add a variable (say submission_number) in the SET tab of the first job in the group and assign it %%submission_id. From there, wherever I use %%submission_number it will be the same value within that gro...

Thanks for that Henk. Our system is such that we run a "wrapper" script from the desktop command that takes a SID and a sql script as a parameter and sets up all the oracle environment settings before running the script. In this case I am calling a stored proc with out params. As such, I cant pass t...
