i am trying to use the tool to create a html flow of one of our larger flows and it has been running for about an hour now. we have many flows of this size and if it is going to take this long than i can't see it being worth it. how long should i wait before assuming it just isn't going to complete?...

Re: Using %%JOBNAME in email

why not make use of %%MEMNAME and %%JOBNAME to your benefit? The jobname does not have to match the memname so as long as your memname is the actual name of your script then you can make the jobname what you want it to be without the variables. then you can use %%JOBNAME as you would like.

Periodic calendar in version 7

You may want to try using a confirmation calendar. It may also help you with other schedules as well.

i thought about that but i was hoping to use whatever solution was provided to get the same information out of Control-D as well. So i have been looking into creating a KSL, i am just new to the language and don't have a whole lot of time to mess with it.

i have had a very similar issue for a long time now. the only thing i ever come across in the GCS log is that the mainframe times out responding back to the GCS. the only thing documented by BMC is that if the condition is added/deleted/added to closely that it would cause an issue.

If you are using EM to find the specific types of jobs on a specific datacenter you can always save preset filters.

are the jobs cyclic? if they aren't then you should be able to use "or" conditions. otherwise, resources would be your best bet.

For anyone interested, I was obtained a KSL from a BMC contractor that provided me with exactly the information I was looking for and I would be glad to pass it on.
