AIX and ctm
Be careful about what port numbers you are using. Some versions of AIX consider 7000 series ports to be reserved for AIX.

I set up a way to put all jobs on hold, by ensuring that all jobs have a quantative resource called Job or Schedule in them, each using 1. The QR is used by the entire schedule, so I set it to around 1000. When I want to stop the world, I set it to zero, and anything that wants to run turns blue unt...

I actually dumped it to xml and then deleted it from the database entirely and then put it back in using deftable, and got the same issue.

Failed simulation
I have one scheduling table that the user daily loads every day no problem, but I can not forecast it anymore.
I get failed to get simulation results, and the viewpoint closes.
I am at a loss to figure out what is wrong with it
Any suggestions?

Scheduling Group jobs with node group - issue?
I am trying to build a group schedule with 16 jobs in it. Each of these jobs specifies a node group in its definition that represents 4 servers. What I want is for all16 jobs to run on all 4 servers. The number of jobs and servers will increase eventually to 24 jobs on 20 servers, and I need to run ...

Cyclic issue continues...
I know how to stop one and start one. My concern is if there is a maximum number of times you can run a cyclic job without causing Control-M problems. I need to run this thing every 2 minutes from 0745 to 1700 every day. If there is a max number, I will just create a couple of jobs and break the str...

Cyclic Jobs. Is there a max run no
I have a job that will need to run every 5 mins almost all day.
Is there a limit to the number of times a job can run without breaking.
If I need to break it up into two or three consecutive jobs, say 200 each, I can do that.
Anyone know for sure?

Error starting Reporting Facility in 6.2.01.400
Hi folks.
I am trying to start the reporting facility to generate a very simple report, and when I try to start it I get
The application failed to get the databae parameters from the MCS.Ini file
Check the logs for more information.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks.
